Father and son. A touching story

I got this mail from ella. and it is really worth reading.

A man came home from work late, tired and irritated, to find his 5-year old son waiting for him at the door.

SON: 'Daddy, may I ask you a question?'

DAD: 'Yeah sure, what it is?' replied the man.

SON: 'Daddy, how much do you make an hour?'

DAD: 'That's none of your business. Why do you ask such a thing?' the man said angrily.

SON: 'I just want to know.. Please tell me, how much do you make an hour?'

DAD: 'If you must know, I make $20.00 an hour.'

SON: 'Oh,' the little boy replied, with his head down.

SON: 'Daddy, may I please borrow $10.00 ?'

The father was furious, 'If the only reason you asked that is so you can borrow some money to buy a silly toy or some other nonsense, then you march yourself straight to your room and go to bed. Think about why you are being so selfish. I work hard everyday for such this childish behavior.'

The little boy quietly went to his room and shut the door.
The man sat down and started to get even angrier about the little boy's questions. How dare he ask such questions only to get some money?

After about an hour or so, the man had calmed down, and started to think:
Maybe there was something he really needed to buy with that $10.00 and he really didn't ask for money very often.

The man went to the door of the little boy's room and opened the door.
'Are you asleep, son?' He asked.
'No daddy, I'm awake,' replied the boy.
'I've been thinking, maybe I was too hard on you earlier' said the man.
'It's been a long day and I took out my aggravation on you.
Here's the $10.00 you asked for.'

The little boy sat straight up, smiling. 'Oh, thank you daddy!' He yelled.

Then, reaching under his pillow he pulled out some crumpled up bills. The man saw that the boy already had money, started to get angry again. The little boy slowly counted out his money, and then looked up at his father.

'Why do you want more money if you already have some?' the father grumbled.
'Because I didn't have enough, but now I do,' the little boy replied.

'Daddy, I have $20.00 now. Can I buy an hour of your time?

Please come home early tomorrow. I would like to have dinner with you.'
The father was crushed. He put his arms around his little son, and he begged for his forgiveness.

It's just a short reminder to all of you working so hard in life. We should not let time slip through our fingers without having spent some time with those who really matter to us, those close to our hearts.

Do remember to share that $20.00 worth of your time with someone you love.

If we die tomorrow, the company that we are working for could easily replace us in a matter of days. But the family & friends we leave behind will feel the loss for the rest of their lives.

And come to think of it, we pour ourselves more into work than to our family.

My new found friends.

I just want to share these thoughts i had to everyone. Ever since i started teaching online, I learned so many things. But i think the most important lesson of them all is the friendship.
I had many friends/ students that just come and go. But since i had so many friends i really don't know who will last and who will just say hi and bye to me.

The following were students that really stood out to everyone, not because they have been my student for months already, But they were really nice to me and they always made me laugh. The first student that i really admire is Cherry Lai, She is a loving mother of a 3- year old girl and a loving wife to her husband Ching, Here is a picture of her family. We always share good things together.

So cute....

Last Tuesday was Iris ko's Birthday. She is one of my Taiwanese students. I like her because she is very jolly and always cheerful. We never had a dull moment in our class. So i made this Montage just for her i hope that she like it. Happy birthday Iris!!!

I know most of us were very busy with our daily lives, but have you found new friends lately?

I need some help!!

I really need some help here. I hope you would take some time and give some comments on this post. I have two things on my mind right now.

1st:On November 18, My parents will be celebrating their 30th Wedding Anniversary and Me and my sister and brothers has still no ideas what to do.

We don't want to give common gifts, because that's what we do every year. My father doesn't like romantic dates because he's not that type, My mother do want to go out but both of them have hectic schedules. Their both very active at church, at home and at work especially my dad.

I'm very tired of going out and eating with the whole family every year, because that's what we do every single year. We want to do something unforgettable for them, something both of them will enjoy and remember. It's their 30th year Anniversary. It has to be different.

2nd: On November 30 will be my 6th year wedding anniversary. Like my parents do, Me and my hubby just go out and eat with the kids. yup that's all. We're both very busy. And i just want it to be special. Please! please I need your help and advices!!

How would you feel?

You may have notice how i love to write about my kids and how they just made my day so good, when thing's aren't just my way. I know you may feel the same way as i do, Especially those hardworking moms and dad who always make it a point to make ends meet.

This is not my day. And i don't want to feel down, That's why I'm writing this, Whenever i pass through these kind of days, I make it a point that i pray. (though i always pray even when I'm happy) My dad used to tell me that there are days that seems to be not right.

There are days that are meant to happen for us to learn, stand and move on. So here's what I'm going to do later. I will make a nice healthy midnight snack, play with my kids and tell them how much i love them. and give my husband a warm hug with a gentle kiss, and finally I'll pray before i sleep.

By the way, as a i was thinking and thinking, My fingers continuously scanning my old pictures and look what i found.

My daughter when she was 1 and a half , trying to watch TV with sunglasses
This is cool ......mom! I can only see our TV!!!!!
