The karate kid on a father's day

First of all Happy father's day to all the daddies out there especially to my better half.

I just finished watching The Karate Kid.. And I felt like it's worth my post. Yes, I'm a huge fan of Jackie Chan.. I've seen almost all of his movies.. ( haven't seen the little big soldier) . I can't forget how my High school English teacher told me that his stuntmen( including the crew and staff) were mostly Chinese and Filipinos. (Filipinos!!!?) And that Filipinos has a special place in Jackie Chan's Heart. And how in the world did my teacher knew about it? Even if she was halfway around the world? His husband was one of them and was working for him faithfully for years. My English teacher showed all of his pictures. And God knows how I felt that day... Dying of Envy. Ok enough of the nostalgia..

This movie has high and lows. I have to say that it's not much like of the original hit. A lot was changed, the wax-in wax off thing was replaced with the jacket on-jacket off. Jaden was younger than Ralph. Mr Miyagi is Japanese. And of course the title issue!. It seems like the 2010 remake was 60% focused with the new younger audience, that would definitely made a lot of parents looking for Kung-fu school for their kids after seeing this movie. Either the Smith's goal is to make some big bucks and show-off how talented their kid is. Or to make-over a totally-already-good movie and trying to make it better. I really don't care... I love the movie. For me, the original was great. But this is a totally new movie.. and seeing it that way made me feel like this movie was meant to be on it's no.1 position in the box-office. The Chinese kids were really good. And Jaden was a natural. and Jackie Chan still has it. I super like the movie and that's my opinion, period.

New Year.... New Beginning.

Time flies, and i mean really really fast, I'm so excited with this new year, Although there are many competitions I've decided to have my own business. AN online store for perfumes and secret lens.

I was thinking of selling clothes then. And I'm still thinking if i will pursue.But for now I've decided to go with the perfumes and Contact lens, But then again I was also thinking of dropping the perfumes as well. But My husband told me to just let it stay for a while and check how it will go after a month or two.

I actually fell in love with these Authentic Korean Contact lens. Also known as the secret lens because they were once the secret lens for Korean and Japanese Actors to have those bigger brighter beautiful eyes.

I haven't opened my online store yet i just had soft opening for my facebook friends and so far it was doing good. You can check it out for yourself. Xend Express has International shipping so I guess I can go international (crossing my fingers) HAppy new year to all!

Thanks Joe's Apartment!!

My 1 year old son hates cockroaches so much.. well, who doesn't? anyways, It's like he will do anything just to get rid of it, or ran away or cry... everything. He has this very very funny face whenever he sees one. SO one way to make him stop of whatever his doing is to tell him that there's a cockroach around.

Yesterday, while he was so busy playing and running and all. I was kind of tired of following him, My daughter told me that Joe's Apartment was on HBO. For those who haven't seen it. It's an old movie about a guy who was messy enough to share an apartment with bunch of roaches.

So, I got an idea, We all went to the bedroom and we watched Joe's apartment. I showed my son the bunch of roaches on TV. And he went right straight on the bed in between me and my daughter. And he was like an Angel..... LOL!! He was not very scared but i can feel that he doesn't want to play or move or run. the TV is big enough for him to see those creepy roaches in details... So funny!

Two Cool Grannys!

Ok, So this morning, I went to mall to pay my bills, and on my way to the mall I had to commute of course, I kind of had 2 funny encounters with granny's.. It was pretty cool.

The first granny was when I was just on my way to the mall. I took the jeepney ( if you had no idea what it is, It's one of the public transportation in the Philippines, If you still have no idea just google it) ok so she was sitting in front of me, And I was very curious why she seems like looking at her feet,and then looking at my feet. She kept looking to people and then looked back to her feet. And then when i Looked at her feet, She was actually checking on her new pair of flip flops (havaianas). Her face was like talking saying " hey people look at my new pair of Havaianas". Now I understand why she was also looking at my feet, because I was wearing my own pair. Pretty trendy Granny! LOL!

The second granny encounter, Was when I was on my way home. Another granny was sitting in front of me. But this one was pretty typical silent kind of Grandma but I found her to be cute, She was texting and all, Suddenly her phone rang. and you know what was the ringtone? It was "poker face" by Lady gaga! LOL!! I really think it was cool because her ringtone might not match her looks but she was definitely still young at heart.
